Vibration Control

A specific material formulation for vibration control which allies performance with environmental concerns Construction

Antivibratic is a key characteristic when it comes to maximizing comfort and achieving greater energy efficiency. Easy to install, natural, sustainable, with proven technical qualities, Acousticork vibration control portfolio is the high performance alternative to synthetic products.

Acousticork Vibration Control products are engineered compounds of cork, natural and/or recycled rubber. Having high loss factors which are essential to the damping function - due to corks' closed cell structure filled with air, it dissipates vibration energy into low grade heat in each vibration cycle, resulting in a low amplification at resonance, giving our materials operational effectiveness in a wide range of frequencies.

Isolating the source of the vibration is essential not only to protect the quality of life of people in both the immediate location and those in the surrounding environment, it also helps to protect equipment from the long term degenerative effects of vibration. Our range of Acousticork VC allows to achieve better performance results in a wide range of applications.

  • Low natural frequency / High vibration isolation

This products are suitable for vibration control applications in need of very high isolation levels, used as discrete isolators (pads/strips) with low resonance frequency.

  • Cork composites for high performance

While cork has a higher loss factor than rubber – which is essential to the dampening function and consequent dissipation of energy – anti-vibration rubbers are isolative and offer very little damping.

The combination of these two materials as a cork rubber composite brings added characteristics as a vibration control material.

No material combines performance and process handling with such perfection and variety, adding resistance to mechanical and thermal effects, as well as chemical compatibility, in products which are easy to cut and shape into the final application.
