Commitment to Forestry chain of custody
Our preference goes to cork coming from well-managed forests certified through the system of forest certification from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), and/or Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC).
We do not commercialize FSC or PEFC certified products that are made with the following categories of raw forest materials:
a) raw materials exploited illegally; b) raw materials exploited in violation of traditional and civil rights; c) raw materials exploited in forests where high conservation values are threatened by management activities; d) raw materials exploited in forests in the process of conversion to plantations or non-forest land uses; e) raw materials from forests in which genetically modified trees were planted.
We comply with the requirements of the standards of chain of custody FSC and PEFC applicable to our activity, including the social requirements and occupational health and safety, as well as the legal requirements applicable to trade in cork.
